Carp & Catfish Sweet Dough Bait

20oz. Box Bran flakes
6 oz. Cheddar cheese (grated)
5 oz. Honey
3 1/2 cups flour
1 package cherry Kool Aid
2 tbsp. Garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. Anise oil
2 1/2 cups water
In a large bowl, smash the bran flakes, then add the flour, cheese, Kool Aid, garlic powder,honey, water and anise oil. Knead the bait for apporx 10 min or so or until its smooth.
Place the bait onto wax paper. Flatten into large pancake, (use some of the extra flower to keep it from sticking if you need to). Put the bait pancakes into gallon size Zip Lock bags. Make with permantent marker and store in the freezer. When you are ready to go fishing keep this bait in your cooler. Galmakatsu octopus circle hooks, #1 or #2 size hook all works well with this bait. (FYI-this is a heavy bait)
