Leeches

Leeches are great for so many different species. They work well for bass, walleye,
northern pike and panfish. Leeches are very hardy. By putting them in a
container with some water, you can keep leeches alive for weeks. If you are a
bass fishermen, try using leeches along the shoreline during the spawn. In many
cases, leeches will out fish other baits by 5 to 1 during the spawn. Bass love them
and they can’t resist a free-falling leech near their spawning bed. The key is to
use a medium-action rod with 8 to 10 pound test and a single hook. Don’t add a
weight. Let the leech free-fall and you will catch a lot more bass during the spring.
