The state of Massachusetts has so many lakes and ponds to choose from. Far too many for us to cover here so we are listing the major waters and providing information about MA lake location as well as the major species in each lake.

Assawompset Pond : 2,500-acre lake in the south-east part of the state, at Lakeville, MA.
Cheshire Reservoir : 400-acre lake in the north-west part of the state, at Cheshire, MA.
Congamond Lake is a 460-acre lake in the south-west part of the state, at Southwick, MA.
Hamilton Reservoir : 410-acre lake in the south-central part of the state, at Holland, MA.
Lake Chaubunagungamaug : 1,400-acre lake in the south-central part of the state, at Webster, MA.
Lake Cochituate : 610-acre lake in the north-east part of the state, at Natick, MA.
Lake Garfield : 260-acre lake in the west-central part of the state, at Monterey, MA.
Lake Rohunta : 380-acre lake in the north-east part of the state, at Orange, MA.
Lake Quinsigamond : 770-acre lake in the central part of the state, in Worcester, MA.
Long Pond : 1,700-acre lake in the south-east part of the state, at East Freetown, MA.
Norton Reservoir : 530-acre lake in the south-east part of the state, at Norton, MA.
Otis Reservoir : 1,200-acre lake in the south-west corner of the state, 5 miles north-east of Sandisfield, MA.
Quabbin Reservoir : 25,000-acre lake in the west-central part of the state, at New Salem, MA.
South Watuppa Pond : 1,450-acre lake in the south-east part of the state, at Fall River, MA.
Wachusett Reservoir : 4,100-acre lake in the east-central part of the state, at Clinton, MA.
