South Carolina Fishing

The state of South Carolina offers a variety of fishing including lakes, ponds, streams and rivers. There are many very large reservoirs across the state offering excellent bass fishing, striped bass fishing, crappie, catfish, trout, walleye and others.

Hartwell Lake : 56,000-acre lake on the western border of the state, at Anderson, SC.

Lake Greenwood : 11,000-acre lake in the west-central part of the state, at Greenwood, SC.

Lake J. Strom Thurmond aka Clarks Hill Lake : 71,000-acre reservoir located on the eastern border of the state, at Clarks Hill, SC.

Lake Jocassee : 7,500-acre lake in the north-west corner of the state, at Jocassee, SC.

Lake Keowee : 18,000-acre lake in the north-west part of the state, at Seneca, SC.

Lake Marion : 110,000-acre lake in the central part of the state, at Santee, SC.

Lake Moultrie : 60,000-acre lake in the south-east part of the state, at Moncks Corner, SC.

Lake Murray : 50,000-acre lake in the central part of the state, at Columbia, SC.

Lake Wylie : 12,500-acre lake on the northern border of the state, at Tega Cay SC.

Monticello Reservoir : 7,000-acre lake in the north-central part of the state, at Monticello, SC.
