Arrowwood Lake : 2,700-acre lake in the central part of the state, at Kensal, ND.

Bowman-Haley Lake : 1,700-acre lake in the southern border of the state, 12 miles south of Bowman, ND.

Buffalo Lodge Lake : 1,400-acre lake in the north-central part of the state, 4 miles north-east of Granville, ND.

Devils Lake : 122,000-acre lake in the north-east part of the state, at Delils Lake, ND.

Dry Lake : 4,100-acre lake in the north-central part of the state, at Webster, ND.

Jamestown Reservoir : 2,000-acre lake in the central part of the state, at Jamestown, ND.

Lake Ashtabula : 5,400-acre lake in the east-central part of the state, at Luverne, ND.

Lake Audubon : 25,000-acre lake in the west-central part of the state, at Coleharbor, ND.

Lake Darling : 9,500-acre lake in the north-central part of the state, at Grano, ND.

Lake Metigoshe : 1,500-acre lake in the north-central part of the state, 10 miles north of Bottineau, ND.

Lake Sakakawea : 368,000-acre lake in the west-central part of the state, stretching from Garrison to Williston, ND.

Lake Tschida : 5,000-acre lake in the south-west part of the state, 12 miles south of Glen Ullin, ND.

Missouri River runs from the west-central border at Williston angling to the center of the state where it turns due south past Bismark to the south-central border.

Pipestem Lake : 840-acre lake in the central part of the state, at Jamestown, ND.

Powers Lake : 1,600-acre lake in the north-west part of the state, at Powers Lake, ND.

Stump Lake : 7,900-acre lake in the eastern part of the state, at Tolina, ND.
